Terms of service

How commissions work

These terms cover scripting work I take on commission. They're here so we both know what was agreed before anything gets built, and what happens if something changes halfway through. Your project quote sits on top of this page and wins wherever the two disagree.

Version 1.0 Effective 2026 Applies to all commissions

Acceptance and precedence

Commissioning me, accepting a quote, asking me to begin, or sending a payment means you've accepted these terms together with your project quote.

The written quote controls the agreed scope, price, payment method and schedule wherever it differs from this general policy. Nothing here removes rights that can't legally be waived.

Services and scope

My service is programming. Art, models, animation, VFX, UI design, audio and other production work are excluded unless the quote explicitly includes them.

You supply the specification, assets, access, test requirements and feedback the commission needs. Anything that adds features or changes the requirements sits outside the original scope and gets quoted separately.

Quotes and scheduling

A quote is fixed once accepted, unless the scope changes. Work starts after the upfront payment has cleared and I have the materials I need to begin.

Timelines are good-faith estimates rather than guarantees. Client delays, missing dependencies, platform incidents and anything else outside my control can move the delivery date.

Payment and rates

Payment is accepted in Robux through gamepasses created for the commission, or in USD through PayPal. Unless the quote says otherwise, 50% is due upfront and the remaining 50% after a recorded demonstration — but before any playable access, editable source or final files are handed over.

Commission sizeRobuxUSD
Very small systems4,000$10
Complex frameworks & small games55,000$200
Larger games135,000$500
Front-page scale games270,000$1,000
Minimum commission is 4,000 Robux or $10, and applies only to extremely small systems. Larger tiers are starting points and scale with scope.
  • Gamepass prices account for Roblox transaction fees, so the amount I receive equals the accepted Robux quote
  • The quote states the exact Robux or USD amount and names the gamepasses or PayPal path used
  • Robux is not represented as cash and carries no guaranteed DevEx value
  • You confirm you're authorised to commission the work and to use the Roblox or PayPal account making each payment

Demo, revisions and approval

Before I ask for the final balance, you get a recorded demonstration of the working system. That's a review opportunity, not access to the test place, a playable build, the project or the source.

One reasonable revision round within the original written scope is included. New systems, redesigned behaviour, or requests that contradict the accepted specification need a separate quote and may move the schedule.

Delivery

Place access, project access, editable source and final files are delivered only after full cleared payment. A reversed or disputed payment suspends both delivery and the usage licence until it's resolved.

Progress messages and recorded demonstrations are previews. They are not delivery, and they don't grant access to the work or a licence to use it.

After handover, keeping backups of the delivered files and credentials is on you.

Bug fix period

Verified defects that make the delivered work fail the accepted specification are fixed free for seven calendar days after delivery.

Not included: client edits, third-party code, misuse, new requirements, and later Roblox or API changes. Ongoing maintenance beyond that is quoted separately.

Cancellation and refunds

If either side cancels, completed work is measured against agreed milestones or documented progress. You pay for what's completed, and unused prepaid amounts go back through the original method where that's possible.

Non-recoverable platform fees may be excluded from a refund unless mandatory law says otherwise. If I'm the one cancelling, unearned amounts are returned and paid completed work can still be delivered.

Consumer withdrawal, refund and other mandatory rights are unaffected by anything on this page.

Inactivity

The schedule pauses after seven days without the communication, feedback, access or assets I need from you.

After thirty days I may close the commission and bill the completed work. Restarting then depends on my availability and may need a new timeline.

Code licence and ownership

After full payment you receive a non-exclusive licence to use and modify the delivered code in the Roblox experience named in the quote.

  • You may not resell, sublicense, publish or redistribute the commissioned system as standalone code
  • I keep ownership and may reuse or relicense the techniques, architecture, utilities and similar code behind it
  • Client-provided and third-party assets keep their existing ownership and licence terms

Portfolio and confidentiality

I won't show commissioned work publicly without your written permission. That permission can limit exactly what may be shown, and refusing it changes nothing about the service you get.

Private assets, unreleased projects, credentials and confidential project information stay confidential.

Your responsibilities and prohibited work

You confirm you hold the rights and permissions needed for the assets, access and instructions you give me.

I refuse exploits, malware, credential theft, stolen content, deceptive systems and anything that breaks Roblox's rules. Abuse, fraud or unauthorised chargebacks end the commission.

Limitations

Work is built and tested professionally, but I don't promise revenue, popularity, permanent compatibility, zero downtime or complete immunity from exploitation.

As far as mandatory law allows, I'm not responsible for indirect losses, or for failures caused by client changes, third parties, supplied assets or later platform changes.

Updates and contact

Later versions of these terms apply to future commissions, not active ones, unless we both agree otherwise in writing.

Raise questions or disputes through my Discord account first, so there's a chance to sort them out directly.

Before we start

Anything here that doesn't fit how you work?

Say so before the deposit, not after. If your project needs different terms, we agree them in writing and the quote overrides this page.

Paying a deposit means you've read and accepted these terms.
